Olivier Marie, head sommelier at Coq d'Argent has been awarded 'Winner of 2011 UK HabanoSommelier'. Olivier came out on top in a competition between the UK's leading cigar-friendly restaurants, held on Tuesday 18 October in the London head offices of cigar brand Hunters & Frankau's.

As part of the competition he was asked to display his cigar knowledge and recommend drinks to complement specific cigars. His prize is an all-expenses-paid trip to Cuba to represent the UK at the International HabanoSommelier final during the annual Cigar Festival (February 26th to March 4th 2012) in Havana.

Speaking about the competition Olivier said: "I was quite nervous, but managed to enjoy myself which I think made a difference. Cuba is a country I have always wanted to go to and I’m sure it will be a great week. Now I need to start studying even harder."
